Teen Voices Speak Out!

posted Mar 10, 2010, 5:12 PM by Henry Gambill
The Los Feliz Branch is presenting a special writing workshop with writer Anna Hays on Tuesday, March 16th at 4pm where teens can write stories, essays, poems, and create images about what the library means to them. The material created at the workshop will be used to make a hand-bound book that will be presented to the mayor and the City Council in the coming weeks.

Time is of the essence and we have to generate the content quickly, so we're calling for all 'tweens and teens who are interested in being published in this book to bring their own pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, and laptops...and your imagination...to the workshop.

If you plan to join us, please start thinking about what the library means to you and how it has influenced your lives. If you can't attend the workshop but you want to contribute, please email Anna Hays at anna@annahays.com or contact Erika Caswell at ecaswell@lapl.org at the Los Feliz Branch Library at (323) 913-4710.
