We'd like to present a GIGANTIC stack of petitions to the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, 3/16 - LIBRARY DAY @ CITY COUNCIL!

Return completed petitions to your local LA Public Library branch by Friday, March 12th, if possible - so that we can make copies to present to EACH member of City Council on their meeting on March 16th!

So please - have a petition & letter writing party, go to your local farmers' markets, library book sale, or local business that you frequent and get those signatures!

WE NEED TO KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!

Library testimonials were presented to City Council last Thursday and seemed to force the City Council to start paying attention!  Councilmembers Hahn, Rosendahl and LaBonge even took time out to address our group of teens, concerned citizens, and library staff directly!

It seems like we're started to sway them, but we need to -

Keep writing, keep emailing, keep calling, and most of all, KEEP GETTING PETITION SIGNATURES!

Thank you for all that you for and with the library! Save the Library!
